Praise & Worship Team

When we gather on Sunday morning to praise and worship our God, this time is both personal and communal.

Matthew 18:20 states "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

It is our aim, our goal, to praise and worship God with the knowledge and understanding that He is right here, and we are in His presence. The reverence and awe of actually having God with us during our time of praise and worship to him is a very humbling thought and experience.

Praise and worship to our God may be an exuberant expression of joy in our relationship to Christ; or perhaps, a quiet am is then response to the awesome feeling of reverence and fear emanating from a true confrontation with the holiness of God. Everyone experiences this in his or her own personal way.

John 4:23-24 says “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”.

We are not here to entertain people; we are here to praise and worship our God. Our goal, our focus, is on God the father and Jesus Christ His son, who sacrificed himself while we were yet sinners. We look to God’s word for all that we do in our worship.
